Hey, it’s William—Founder of Briefee.
I used to have the classic 9-to-5 office gig: decent paycheck, loved the industry, but let’s be real, the job itself? Not exactly lighting my soul on fire.
So, in a move that might’ve seemed a bit wild at the time (okay, it definitely seemed wild), I quit and dove headfirst into entrepreneurship.
For the first few years, I basically forgot what sleep was. I worked non-stop, grinding away from the back table of a little Italian café in London. Picture me, fueled by filter coffee, trying to build something from zero.
Fast forward 36 months, and somehow I went from broke café-squatter to running a business generating millions in revenue. Still not sure how that happened, but hey, I’ll take it!
This was all from selling services and digital products online, which led me down the path of fully remote work for over 9 years now. Somewhere along the way, the whole “work remotely” thing morphed into, “Why don’t I just pack up and explore the world while I’m at it?”
What started as a trip here and there turned into a full-blown digital nomad lifestyle. Next thing I knew, I was hopping from country to country, meeting all kinds of amazing people and experiencing different cultures.
During all of this, my wife and I joined forces and created our little nomad boy, who now travels with us and who’s as adventurous as we are (honestly, I think he might have us beat!).
One of my favorite memories is of us watching a sunset somewhere in Thailand (I’ve attached the photo in this article for you). The colors were so unreal, you’d think it was photoshopped. But no filters were needed—it was just one of those perfect moments, and I got to share it with my little guy.
